Cleaning Checklist
Kitchen
- Wash, Dry and put away all dishes
- Wipe out the microwave
- Wipe out the refrigerator and freezer
- Wash off counters, stove and tables
- Clean sinks
- Put dish rack under sink
- Clean and wipe off stove top and drip pans. You can cover drip pans in foil.
- The oven is self cleaning so allow time to run the cleaning cycle 4-5 hours. Do not place foil in the oven or use oven cleaner on the oven.
- Wipe out Cabinets and remove any food you brought. Do not leave food even out of the goodness of your heart!
- Sweep and mop the floor and wipe out the window ledges.
- Empty trash and replace the liner.
- Place new sticky traps behind the fridge.
- Let us know if any of the appliances are not working. Do not leave used appliances of your own.
Upstairs and Downstairs Bathrooms
- Scrub out the toilet bowl, clean the sides, under the lid and around the outside and base of the bowl. There is tons of toilet bowl cleaner in the cupboard in the downstairs bathroom.
- Clean the mirror
- Wipe out the sink and tub or shower
- Empty waste baskets, new basket liners are in the medicine cabinet above the sink.
Front Room
- Clean out the fireplace, throw the cool ashes in a garbage bag and dispose with other garbage at the waste facility at the mouth of the canyon.
- Dust and mop the floor including behind the couches
- Vacuum the rugs and the couch cushions.
- Wipe all handrails, doorknobs and light switches.
- Assure all personal belongings are removed.
Upstairs and downstairs bedrooms
- Sweep under the beds
- Sweep and mop floors
- Straighten the bed covers (Please let us know if any mattress covers are ripped. If you rip them please replace them.)
